What exactly is TGist?
A service that lives inside Telegram. It follows the public channels you choose, removes repeats of the same story and posts one clean feed into your own channel.
Is it really free?
Yes, TGist is free while in beta. The paid plans on this page are only a preview for now.
Which channels can I follow?
Public Telegram channels. Add them by @username, by a t.me link, or by forwarding a post to the bot.
How does repeat detection work?
Every new post is compared, by meaning, with recent posts from your other sources. When several channels report the same event you get the first post and the repeats are skipped. Serial updates from a single channel are never treated as repeats.
Can it hide something I need?
Only near-identical reports of the same event are skipped, and the first one is always delivered. Updates from one channel are never dropped, and when TGist is unsure it delivers the post.
Will the channels I follow know? Does it use my Telegram limits?
TGist reads channels with its own Telegram accounts, never yours. Your account does not appear among their subscribers and does not count towards your own channel limit.
What do you know about me?
Your Telegram ID, name and username, plus the channels you follow and where you deliver them. TGist does not read your private chats.
Do I need to keep the website open?
No. Everything runs in Telegram. The website is a convenient remote control for your sources.
What if TGist stops working?
Your channel and everything already posted in it stay yours.
How do I stop?
Remove your sources in the dashboard or the bot, or simply block the bot. There is nothing to cancel.
